In Northern Ghana, Creating Change staff was able to take a much needed break before September comes around, which is the office’s busiest month of the year. This is when you can see long lines of girls that run outside our office, who wait for their turn to appeal for help to stay in school. This year we are investing in some benches so we can offer more people a seat while they wait.

Sometimes there are parents who accompany their daughters, other times teachers will come with them on their behalf. Some girls walk alone for miles from their community. Some girls have written us a letter on paper ripped out of a notebook telling us their personal journey. Some days boarding schools bring mini-buses full of girls that are about to be kicked out.

As they begin to filter in, we hope to provide regular updates with stories from the field, and to let you know the difference your continued efforts make.
