The Story of this Project...

Many girls in Northern Ghana are forced to drop out of school since they simply cannot afford the fees. High school fees for one year can cost more than half of a family's annual income. Many parents will sell some of their food supply for school fees, leaving them hungry later in the year. Other parents pressure their daughters to drop out and get married, in order to relieve the burden of having to find money for school fees.

These girls dream of graduating and moving on to have a career so they can gain independence, and help to support their families. Without external support some will drop out, and continue living in the cycle of poverty that they have grown up in.

Join us to support these five determined girls, and witness them progress through news updates, photos and videos, all because of your generosity.
