The Youth Entrepreneurs for Africa is a youth-led initiative for high school students who are dedicated to making a difference for people living in extreme poverty. Initially started by students on Vancouver's North Shore, they have taken on the challenge to launch their very own social enterprise in Ghana. The initiative offers a real-world, hands-on opportunity to have a positive impact in the world. Skills learned through the program are invaluable to students no matter which direction they pursue in life. It is available for students in grades 9 - 12. Currently the first chapter is running inVancouver's North Shore for students attending schools in North and West Vancouver.
ABOUT OUR YOUTH INITIATIVES
The Youth Entrepreneurs for Africa initiative runs throughout the school year, with meetings held every second Friday evening. The initiative will provide students with a wide range of skills, will grow their confidence in their ability to achieve their goals, and will provide them with the opportunity for to apply their skills and newfound confidence firsthand, all in an effort to change the lives of girls living in extreme poverty through social enterprise.
Students learn a wide variety of practical skills, preparing them for any professional setting.
Students learn to embrace failure and communicate effectively, so they have the confidence to try new things.
