PROGRAMS THAT CREATE LEADERS
Our Youth Change -Maker programs are dedicated to sparking the belief in young people that they can be powerful agents of change. They offer a real-world, hands-on opportunity to learn how to run a business that has a positive impact in the world. Skills learned through the various programs we offer are invaluable to students no matter which direction they pursue in life.
FOUNDATIONS: MARKETING FOR CHANGE
For students in grades 10 – 12, this foundational program teaches students the fundamentals of marketing. Students develop fundraising campaigns that impact the lives of impoverished girls their own age. The program teaches an extensive skill set in marketing, communications and fundraising, while also building confidence and the belief that people can be powerful agents of change at any age.
LEADERSHIP: COACHING AND MENTORSHIP
Students who have completed the Marketing for Change Program are eligible to join our coaching and mentorship program, which offers youth the opportunity to learn skills and gain experience empowering others. The program provides students with an extensive skill set in leadership, mentorship, and coaching, so they have the tools and support others to become effective change makers.
BUSINESS: SOCIAL ENTERPRISE LAUNCH
Interested in starting your own business? Consider taking part in this program, which empowers students in Canada to take a leading role in a social enterprise designed to empower marginalized girls in Ghana. As part of this program, students are mentored by experienced professionals as they learn to manage the social enterprise. All profits earned go towards Create Change’s education and empowerment programs.
WORK EXPERIENCE: OPERATION CHARITY
The Operation Charity program provides students with the opportunity to participate in Create Change's formal operations, through both paid and volunteer opportunities. Students gain real world experience running a charity, and have the opportunity to be mentored by local professionals in one of the following fields: events, communications, donor relations, product sales and corporate sponsorship. The Marketing for Change Program is a prerequisite.
