SKILLS & BUSINESS TRAINING
WHY THIS PROGRAM?
While some girls will have a strong academic performance and are well suited to pursue a post-secondary degree, others simply did not get the educational foundation needed to succeed academically, but still have the drive to pursue a career. Our Skills & Business training programs provide girls with tangible skills, and education on how to become a successful entrepreneur. Their training comes not only from formal instruction but through running Create Change's social enterprises, where they get real life experience engaging with their learned skills and running a business. Read more about our skills & business training programs below, or our social enterprises here.

The goal of our Skills & Business Training programs are to promote entrepreneurship, and to provide girls who have struggled with academics to still be able to pursue a promising career. Our Skills & Business Training programs are designed to provide girls with tangible skills, and the knowledge of how to start their own business once they have completed the program. From culinary to design to animal rearing skills, students are trained in a number of areas where there is continuous demand in Ghana's northern regions. The main goal of this program is to create female entrepreneurs who will move forward to be business leaders in their communities. Some students will additionally use their leaned skills to support themselves through university, as the program supports them to become financially independent.
