VANCOUVER Youth Coordinator

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Program Coordinator who is incredibly organized, to manage our Vancouver High School Marketing for Change Program, a youth empowerment program designed to empower local youth to become leaders of change for girls living in poverty to attend high school in Northern Ghana.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program, from coordinating speakers, to tracking funds, to tracking inventory. This position is for someone who has a passion for empowering young people, and who will go the extra mile to make sure they succeed.

This is a part time position and will require roughly 30 hours per month, including attending Friday evening meetings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, where students meet to learn and prepare marketing and fundraising campaigns.



  • Organize weekly Friday evening workshops from venue, to speakers, to food and beverage

  • Coordinate with speakers and mentors to make sure they are prepared for their workshop presentations

  • Ensure necessary handouts are printed and distributed

  • Design an e-mail weekly to update students about the program

  • Keep track of students’ attendance and performance and provide a weekly fundraising progress report

  • Distribute and track Create Change product inventory as part of students' sales initiatives

  • Manage and track a pen-pal program between Vancouver and Ghanaian high school students

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to improve teams' performance


  • Outstanding administration and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • An overwhelmingly positive attitude

  • Must have a passion for community building

  • Active on social media considered and asset

  • Experience acting as a mentor, coach, or other role related to empowering youth will be considered an asset

  • MUST have a driver's license and access to a vehicle

  • A keen desire to collaborate with a wonderful team to work towards Create Change’s vision of introducing a 100% self sufficient model of charity in Northern Ghana that is run and led by girls
